The Towson University Tigers hosted American University winning 31-5. The game started out with some quick scoring by Towson University in first 15 minutes. The first try came off a lineout drive that quickly mauled with a try being put down by Anthony Tapp. The points after was no good. Towson leads 5-0.

Towson quickly marched down the field to put another try in. Points after was no good putting Towson up 10-0. The game changed pace as American University rallied in the last 10 minutes of the half to score. The ensuing kick missed and the Tigers still lead 10-5. There was no more scoring for the half.

The Tigers made some halftime adjustments to the game plan and some personnel changes to score 21 unanswered points in the half. The first try of the half came from inside center, Jeremy Gorney. The ensuing points after was good putting Towson up 17-5. The next try came from scrumhalf, Felipe Tobar. Points after again was good putting the Tigers up 24-5. The final score of the game came late in the half. The following kick was good giving the final score of the game 31-5.
